The following types of submissions are encouraged:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Papers<\/h3>\n<p>To present a paper, you should submit a 300-500 word abstract by February 9th, 2018. \u00a0 If accepted, the final paper must be submitted by March 16th and the paper must comply with the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.micsymposium.org\/mics2016\/PaperGuidelines.pdf\">MICS 2018 paper submission guidelines<\/a>\u00a0demonstrated in the\u00a0sample paper\u00a0 in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.micsymposium.org\/mics2016\/Sample.doc\">MS Word (.doc) template<\/a>\u00a0or <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1H01W6KnKziTpsY-8oG8bknD_12soiZKeaM_IsNkqS8Y\/edit?usp=sharing\">Google Doc template<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Poster\/Software Demonstration<\/h3>\n<p>To present a poster session or perform a software demonstration, submit a 300-500 word abstract by\u00a0 February 9th, 2018.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Panel Discussions<\/h3>\n<p>To host a panel discussion, submit a 300-500 word abstract by\u00a0 February 9th, 2018 describing the topic and proposed panel members.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Nifty Assignments<\/h3>\n<p>Potential authors should submit a 300-500 word abstract by\u00a0 February 9th, 2018 that describes the assignment, and specifies the target course and underlying pedagogical concepts that the assignment addresses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Details on all of these options are available in our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.micsymposium.org\/mics2016\/callforparticipation.html\">Call for Participation<\/a>.<\/h3>\n<p>As with past years, we will be using the <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=mics2018\">EasyChair system<\/a> for submissions.
